The American "Fasci" Chamber. Look at them.
There are three of them, staring you in the face. Two are massive, bronze, unmistakable—standing guard like shadows of a Roman past that never really went away. Then there’s the third one: a clever, stylized trick played by the vertical flag. The blue field of stars becomes the axe head, the stripes the bundle of rods.
They wrap it all in the shiny paper of "democracy," but the architecture tells a darker story. It’s the aesthetics of the stick, of power from the top down. Between those bronze bundles and the imperial vibe, the "demos" feels more like an afterthought.
Hard to swallow the "freedom" talk when you're sitting in a room decorated with the tools of the lictor. Makes you think...
